3. A rather dark setting and irregular shots and angles make the scenes more unsettling and uncomfortable for the audience. This makes the audience become more unsettled and be scared easier. Also normally there is either complete silence in one of these films or screaming to create an easier tense to go off of. The last thing they usually do in horror movies is put tense music to unsettle the audience.
4. Normally the main villain or monster is thrown out there to intrigue the attention of the wanted targeted audience.

This trailer shows exactly the way the technique of marketing that they used showing the main villain that was this girl entity that had killed herself. This clip also shows how the genre conventions content and production are also used because most shots were dark and were at weird angles.

This trailer right off the bat shows the main marketing technique of showing the main villain first as a portrait was the only thing you could see. Also the audio or music in this trailer was put in to do as the technique says to make it clear that it was a horror movie and from the start tell the audience that it's not a calm movie.
