Music Marketing Blog Post #1

The first part was receiving the song which is “The Righteous One” by “The Orwells.” The first thought we had was to create Music video telling a story about each character of the band. The singer would be mostly involved the drummer would have 30 seconds and the guitarist would have 1 minute. But we thought that it would be to difficult to fit it all in one. This reasoning gave us the idea to just revolve the story around the main singer but have snip its of the band performing the song.

The planning followed this idea. The plan was to split the filming in two days. The first day our group would split in two as we have to sets of neighbors so the neighbors film their parts of playing a their instrument. The next day we will be filming all together to film the part of telling our story. Then edit to differentiate the parts of the story and playing instruments.

The marketing part starts off by finding the targeted audience of Punk Rock. Since the audience is from the ages 35-50’s. This audience uses little social media but they sometimes connect through there especially on Instagram, twitter and Facebook. That’s why accounts are on there to promote this genre of music. Sometimes posts on web pages of either the ban or the record label.
